Whether Capcom meant to do it or not is something we don’t know. But, what we do know is that, in Resident Evil Village, they’ve managed to captivate the entire world. The interesting part here is that it’s not for a reason that most would expect. Whereas you’d expect most people to be talking about a returning franchise favourite like Chris Redfield or a more likeable protagonist in Ethan Winters, it seems that people just can’t seem to get enough of Lady Dimitrescu. This gargantuan lady with a killer smile apparently towers over many of Resident Evil’s most grotesque creatures and it seems like people are torn whether or not they’re scared of her or turned on. But who exactly is this new female character with an imposing frame? How exactly did she get more than nine feet tall? What role does she play in the Resident Evil franchise? Just How Tall is Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil 8?
Capcom themselves has confirmed that Lady Dimitrescu stands 2.9 meters tall, or around 9 feet and 6 inches. However, it is worth noting that this measurement includes her wearing her hat and heels. Still, even if you take into account just how tall these accessories make her, she still has quite the imposing figure that easily puts her above most of the grotesque monsters that we’ve encountered so far in the Resident Evil franchise. Although her height isn’t enough to make her the tallest creature to appear in a Resident Evil video game – that honor belongs to Thanatos from Resident Evil: Outbreak who stands around 365.76 centimeters or 12-feet – she’s still fairly tall and it’ll be interesting to see how it will actually feel playing the game and seeing her on the screen.
How Important is Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village?
At the very least, Lady Dimitrescu seems to serve an antagonistic role in Resident Evil Village. Just how big of a role she will take is uncertain as of yet. It is possible that she will serve as the main antagonist, especially considering how Capcom has marketed her to audiences. But, who knows? Until the game releases, we don’t know exactly the significance of this beautiful mutated human to the Resident Evil franchise.
Why Is Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village So Tall?
Capcom has yet to reveal exactly who Lady Dimitrescu is and why she has become so unusually tall. It’s not like you can just blame it on the heels and hat. She is proportionally huge as well, to an erotic extent even in the eyes of certain audiences. Because of this, we can assume that she’s affected by a variant of the T- or G-Virus, of which are known to make their victims larger. However, because she’s not exactly grotesque-looking, we could be looking at a new variant or strain that’s unique only to her. Resident Evil Village is expected to release on May 7, 2021 on all major gaming platforms.
