We found out about the controversial brawl almost immediately after it happened following the results of AEW All Out 2022. Shortly after winning his second AEW championship, the 43-year-old wrestler had a field day blasting Kenny Omega and the Young Buck at the post-even media scrum. Apparently, what CM Punk said didn’t sit too well with the ones that he criticized. Now, we have different accounts of what just happened. On one hand, The Elite claim that CM Punk took the first swing and didn’t even give Matt and Nick Jackson a chance to get a word in. Things escalated from there as Nick helped out Matt only to get hit by a steel chair right on the head by Ace Steel. Steel then reportedly bit and pulled Kenny Omega’s hair after Omega attempted to get him off of Nick. However, Ace Steel and CM Punk paint a different picture. The other side alleges The Elite had taken a more aggressive approach and kicked down the door, among other things. Regardless of the truth, AEW has suspended all wrestlers involved in the altercation as it investigates the matter. AEW has also stripped CM Punk and The Elite of their World and World Trios Championships, respectively. If nothing else, AEW will benefit from all of the PR generated by this incident. Punk recently exclaimed that the only reason why he is in AEW is to sell tickets and drive ratings. The real-life brawl should do exactly what he just said. However, sources believe that AEW doesn’t plan on creating a storyline based on this situation.
