The excitement surrounding Scream 5 continues to grow 2011’s Scream 4 was the last outing for the genre-defining horror film series. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a huge financial success at the box office, making less than $100 million on a $40 million budget. Although it did hint at potential future installments, the death of the series’ longtime director, Wes Craven, effectively put any plans of a sequel on hold. At least, that was until Paramount decided to bring in Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett to direct the fifth Scream movie....

To achieve that feat, it accumulated 209.4 million viewership hours and has since grossed over 60 million more, to take its total viewership hours to 273.2 million. The film currently sits at number four on the Top 10 list of Netflix’s Most Popular English language films. While Glass Onion has climbed up the Top 10 Most Popular Films of all time ranking, it is no longer the number one film on the equivalent weekly ranking....

Bungie, current developer of Destiny, created Halo way back when. They already had plans for Destiny before splitting off from Microsoft and leaving Halo behind, so easter eggs connecting the two universes already exist in the latter. Now, a leak suggests that such a crossover is actually going to happen, for real. Bungie is turning 30 this year, and while it is best known for sci-fi shooters involving folks in power armor beating the crap out of various alien species, alongside Halo and Destiny the company as worked on games in the Marathon and Myth franchises....

What can we expect from the Halo x Rockstar collaboration? Rockstar released a teaser video alongside a website as part of the Halo x Rockstar collaboration. However, it appears that we won’t know the specifics about this partnership until October 1. But, we can try to guess. After all, it’s not like this is the first time that video games studios have partnered with energy drink companies. Microsoft, in particular, worked with Rockstar in the past to help promote Gears 5....

The prequel series, titled Welcome to Derry, was announced in March. However, since its announcement, HBO Max only revealed the title as well as its prequel status to the It films, which were released in 2017 and 2019 respectively. The report comes courtesy of Variety and it reveals that HBO Max tapped Jason Fuchs and Bradley Caleb Kane to helm the show. Andy Muschietti and his sister Barbara Muschietti will reportedly serve as co-producers....

Kojima Productions confirmed the “enhanced and expanded” version of Death Stranding on Thursday, June 10. The studio’s announcement came with a nearly 3-minute long teaser. It showcased Sam Bridges, the protagonist of Death Stranding that was played by Norman Reedus, somewhere on an underwater level. Not one to let an opportunity to be cheeky slip by, the trailer for Death Stranding Director’s Cut also featured a reference to Kojima’s lovechild, Metal Gear, with Sam trying to figure out how to equip a box....

The lady antagonist stole the scene from the game’s teasers and trailers because of her looks, and especially her height. With that in mind, Capcom posted a message from art director Tomonori Takano, thanking fans for their support, and alsorevealing the character’s overall height. With a post on social media, Takano’s message emphasizes that Alcina Dimitrescu (beautiful first name) has received a lot of attention in Japan and overseas and that the development team is very happy with the public’s reception....

This is in line with Schreier’s previous statement that the follow-up to the best-selling PS4 game is still on track to come out before the year ends. But, at the same time, conflicting reports suggest that a delay isn’t totally impossible....

After much speculation and rumors, the ESA has now cancelled E3 2022 entirely. The news comes from Razer’s PR lead, Will powers, who revealed that he received an email from the ESA stating that the organization had canceled E3 2022. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is currently in post-production and James Gunn is worried that the third movie will suffer from the threequel curse.
