With a little over a year to go, the casting directors have been busy filling out the usual assortment of fresh faces linking up with Vin Diesel’s Dominic Torreto and the rest of his much-meme’d family, which now officially includes Jason Momoa as the bad guy. While this isn’t the first that we have heard of Jason Momoa’s inclusion in Fast and Furious 10, it wasn’t until today that we found out what kind of role the Aquaman actor will play. Although it will disappoint some to know that Momoa’s not going to be a part of the family, we have no doubts that he’ll play an excellent bad guy. In his most recent carpet appearance at the premiere of The Batman, which is getting high praise from critics, Momoa told Entertainment Tonight details about his role in F10. Specifically, Momoa showed excitement that he’s finally going to be able to “play the bad guy”, which he pointed out that he hadn’t had a chance to “do for a while.” Momoa describes his role in the upcoming action film as a “very flamboyant bad boy.” Momoa is the only new actor confirmed for Fast and Furious 10. However, fans can expect the movie to come with the original cast such as Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, and Nathalie Emmanuel. Meanwhile, it is believed that John Cena, Charlize Theron, and Cardi B, will all reprise their role for Fast 10. In addition to the cast, Justin Lin and Chris Morgan are back as the film’s director and writer, respectively, with F10 expected to start principal photography in London “soon”, according to Diesel. Having said that, we’re not ruling out Momoa’s “eventual” defection to Torreto’s ragtag bunch of misfits by the film’s end. We saw this happen with Cena, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jason Statham, and more, so we wouldn’t be surprised if Momoa comes back for the final Fast and Furious film on Torreto’s side in a film that we can assume will see them fight against Theron’s Cipher one last time. In other news, shared last December that Aquaman 2 had already wrapped up filming a year ahead of its premiere on December 16. Momoa is also set to do a buddy cop film with Dave Bautista sometime in 2023 or 2024 from MGM Studios.
