Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin both made their entrances into the MCU last year in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, respectively. However, fans never got to see both of them appear together on-screen let alone continue their iconic feud. Now, this is all about to change. News of Daredevil: Born Again kicked off the Marvel panel on Saturday, July 23, at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022.

However, the possibility that Cox and D’Onofrio would come back to reprise their roles grew slimmer by the day - until last year. As both made their MCU entries official, the rumors of a Daredevil series revival started to pop up as well. It didn’t help that there’s also a paper trail proving that Marvel Studios has been up to something like how it set up the Blind Faith Productions, LLC and the industry reports of a new Daredevil season. Besides, Disney would be wasting a huge opportunity if it didn’t bring back Cox and D’Onofrio after bringing The Defenders Saga to Disney+ earlier this year. Having said that, the official announcement of Daredevil’s return was more of a matter of when and not if. We found out in May that Covert Affairs creators, Matt Corman and Chris Ord, were on board as the writers and executive producers of a new Daredevil series. Perhaps the only disappointing thing about the new Daredevil series is the long wait. The good news is that Cox is already confirmed to return in a handful of upcoming shows in the meantime. Cox will reprise his fan-favorite role in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Echo, and the animated series, Spider-Man: Freshman Year. Judging by the late reveal of his involvement in She-Hulk, the blind layer might have more still-unannounced appearances as does Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk.
