New and Updated Maps

Treyarch Studios, the developers handling Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, released details of the upcoming 1.14 patch to the Black Ops Cold War Season 2: According to Treyarch, the Golova map will feature a 40-player hardpoint, making it one of the biggest engagement maps in the game, which will likely involve 10 x 4-man fireteams:

The Miami Strike map will allow for a 6v6 matches for players and set as a 24/7 playlist. This updated Miami map comes after Treyarch received massive negative feedback. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War players complained that the map had improper lighting, making it difficult to navigate. The Miami Strike map will be set in the daytime, ensuring a more favorable lighting environment. Moreover, the Miami map was too large. Players would often be unable to locate remaining members of the opposing team before time ran out. As a result, matches would often go the distance and rarely ends on kills. In response, Treyarch revealed the Miami Strike map will have a smaller operational space. The beach and hotel areas will be removed, leaving only the Paramour and Sundownder buildings and adjacent sections. This change will significantly reduce the engagement time and make for faster matches. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Season 2 Reloaded will also have significant changes to the Cuba map. The location will be set in the Havana, Cuba Mansion (aka the Hefe Mansion). It is a smaller map for 2v2 matches. The Hefe Mansion has two very open courtyards, with middle room and hallway, as well as a balcony.

Season 2 Reloaded Weapons

In the first half of Season 2, 4 weapons were added to the game (LC10, FARA 83, Machete, and E-Tool), with the R1 Shadowhunter crossbow being a late addition. However, one was conspicuously missing: the ZRG 20mm Sniper Rifle (which was prominently highlighted as part of the marketing). It is very likely the Reloaded update will finally include this powerful sniper rifle. Furthermore, Treyarch confirms the update will have a weapon tuning pass for multiplayer games. The LC10, AK-74u, MAC-10, KSP 45, Milano 821, Krig 6, FFAR 1, Groza, Magnum, RPG-7, and virtually all LMGs will be affected. Launchers will be rebalanced for increased damage to deal with Flak Jacket wearing opponents. Assault rifles and SMG attachments will also get a pass in relation to recoil balancing.

Season 2 Reloaded Operators

Two of the revealed Operators have already been available in the first part of Season 2: Kapano “Naga” Vang and Samantha Maxis. With the Season 2 Reloaded update, the remaining 2 operators will finally be available for players to recruit: NATO’s Guerrilla Karla Rivas and Delta Force Terrell Wolf.

Season 3 Leaks and Speculations

With this new Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Season 2 Reloaded information released, additional speculation has concerned the details of two new melee weapons: the baseball bat and ballistic knife. Moreover, there are new files connected to Alex Mason, the original protagonist of Call of Duty Black Ops. Could he be joining the Operator roster in Season 3?
